Happy Birthday Paris!

Today is Paris (Daddy's) birthday.
He is the Big 38 today!
Cameron, Sofia, and I decorated the house with balloons and signs last night after he went to work so he would be surprised this morning when he got home. (Didn't Cameron do a great job on his sign - his handwriting is getting very good, and I love the drawing of himself - Sofia added her artwork as well ).
My parents, and brother Nathan, and his wife Shannon are coming over tonight for Pizza, Coldstone Icecream birthday cake (YUM!) and lots of game playing to ring in the New Year and celebrate the big 38 for Paris!
May 2009 be a GREAT year full of much fun and prosperity!

Freezing - First day of Winter

We woke up to a layer of frozen rain on top of our foot of snow! It is 14 degrees outside and they are forecasting more freezing rain for today and tonight. Church has been canceled, so we are staying put.

Here is our snowman

and
After
a foot of snow.

Saturday December 20th - More Snow!

We got Dumped on today! It snowed ALL day long - about a foot of snow was the total by the end of the day. It was powder, perfect skiing snow, too bad you can't get to the slopes.

Paris shoveled the driveway while Cameron rolled and played in the snow.

He was in heaven, until too much snow got into his rain boots (we don't usually need snow boots), next time he won't wear those out to play.

Brrrr, doesn't that look cold?
IT IS!

Our Jabba the snowman is covered in the newest blanket of snow.

Another Snow Day - Dec 19th

They canceled school again today because of snow, it just kept snowing and snowing most of the day. Cameron was excited to go outside and play in the snow again, he wanted to make snow angels, a snowman and have a snowball fight. So after I put Sofia down for her nap, we headed outside.

I taught him how to roll snowballs into the body parts and head of the snowman, we had just enough snow to make this cute little snowman.

Then we had a snowball fight. I was trying to teach him how to make a good snowball, it was tricky with his big mittens.

Here he his making his snow angel, after that he had snow all down his back and I was freezing cold myself so we went back inside and had hot chocolate to warm up.

Snow Day - December 18

We got snow today and since it was on the verge of freezing they cancelled school. It actually got up to 38 degrees, but the weathermen were anticipating it to be much colder.
It made it for a fun time playing in the snow. I shoveled the driveway to have enough snow to make a snowman - we named him 'Jabba the snowman', since the snow was powder and would not form very well.
I like how Cameron posed Jabba's arms

Seeing Santa

Last Friday we went to Clackamas Town Center to visit Santa Claus. We really thought it might be the screaming in fright year for Sofia, but she did great. On the video clip below you will see she held Cameron's hand and just walked right up to Santa, with no worries. It was good for Cameron to be the brave BIG brother, because I think he was a little nervous himself (notice the clenched fists). Cameron asked Santa for a Nintendo Wii and a Star Wars spaceship with a guy.

After seeing Santa we went to Build a Bear and Cameron chose a reindeer "Rudolph the Red Nosed reindeer" is what he named him, his antlers even light up, which Cameron was very excited about.

Here he is pushing the pedal to fill him with stuffing, while holding the red heart all ready to make a wish, kiss it and put it in.

Cleaning Rudolph with air and brushing him all off.

All done - "I love Rudolph" he said.
It was a fun night but a late one, Cameron of course zonked out in the car and then there is little miss Sofia who stayed awake looking out the window the whole way home.

Matching Outfits

I Love matching outfits and am thrilled that Knuckleheads and Hula Mula have coordinating items for Cameron and Sofia to wear - Too Cute!

I'll take better and more pictures of them in their outfits soon.

Shopping bags

We went grocery shopping to Trader Joes on Saturday and when we returned Sofia wanted to carry all of the bags and go shopping again. I hope she continues to like shopping this much as she gets older, because I can shop til I drop!

Sofia loves Nerds candy

Here she is with her bowl of treats, or "teets" as she says.

She even wants to share one.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Paris putting the turkey in the oven - Then, voila all done, if you look close you can see the steam coming off the top - YUM!

Cameron is ready for dinner!

Paris and Cameron ready to make a wish

1,2,3....

Cameron got the biggest piece - wonder what his wish will be?
