Sofia is 18 months old!
I can't believe Sofia is already 18 mos. old!
One good thing about being 18 mos. old is that it's the magical age to go to Nursery at church.
Paris took her on Sunday and she loved it, the first 5 minutes she stood frozen looking at the bubble machine and taking it all in, but after that she enjoyed herself and was very well behaved, even cleaning up toys. We do have to work with her on drinking from a little Dixie cup, since when she first picked it up she crushed it, but then again, they are a bit delicate even for an experienced drinker. After church was done, Paris brought her to greet Cameron and I, and she kept telling us "bubble, blubble," obviously the bubbles were a hit!
She made this cute little turkey with her handprint. We have some great nursery leaders, which makes us very happy!
When we got home Cameron and Sofia sat on the floor and had M&M's while we waited for Daddy to get home from his financial clerk responsibilities.
Me and my little Sofia , growing up so fast - we just might end up with the same hair color.

Work of Art for the Reflections contest
This is Cameron's first school Reflections contest, the theme is "What makes you say WOW," Cameron immediatey thought of the Florida beaches ( he also refers to them as Aunt Lonni's beach and Aunt Corri's beach). He has such great memories of visiting family in Florida and especially going to the beaches. Appropriately, his work is entitled "Florida Beach." He put on the 'painting shirt' and off he went, here are some photos of the process.
Here he is so proud holding his painting before he brings it to school.
Voila! The completed work of art! Notice the dolphins in the water, the beautiful sunset, the fluffy clouds, the waves (the bumpy blue at the top by the sunset), the seashells, and of course sparkles in the water, I think he did a fabulous job, way to go Cameron, good luck!

Bowling at Big Al's
On November 1st we went bowling at Big Al's - our favorite spot. Grandpa and Grandma Henley, as well as Christopher and his family, and Emily, Mitch, and Siena joined us. We had a great time!
Paris giving Cameron some bowling tips, like how to hold the ball, so it doesn't drop on your toe, and rolling it straight down the lane, aiming for the arrows.
Paris is a good bowler, but what I like best is his great form! (I couldn't capture the best photo of him). He learned to bowl from his grandma Mildred and she taught him well.
Cameron trying out his new bowling moves -
Here is a video of Cameron bowling a gutter ball, it looks so good when it starts out then just keeps heading for the gutter, his response is classic !
Sofia was a trooper and sat in her stroller the whole time we bowled (over an hour), in a front row position so she could take in all the action, however during all of the fun she found her nostril and figured out her finger fit perfectly in the hole... Silly Sofia!

~ HAPPY HALLOWEEN ~
Our Jack-o-lanterns!
It is the same costume Cameron wore at this age. They look similar although his cheeks were more chubby and his eyes brown.
DARTH VADER - a.k.a. Cameron all set to go trick-or-treating with his light up lightsaber.
The funniest little story about him and Darth Vader - When we bought his costume a month ago I asked him if he wanted us to buy the breathing device to go with it. In a very matter of fact way his reply was " I don't need that, I already know how to speak Star Wars language." After that Paris asked him if Star Wars was real or pretend, "Real" of course was his response. Paris had a chat with him about how Star Wars is just pretend even though it seems very real. I still think he believes it is pretty real :)

Sofia didn't like it when we had to close the door after trick-or-treaters left. She held a candybar in one hand and reached for the doorknob with the other, crying as she tryed to open it. Thank goodness it was an unusually warm evening, because she wanted to sit on the doorstep and hand out the candy. So that is just what we did while Cameron and Paris were out trick-or-treating, sat on the porch waiting for all of the kids.
Little Miss Sofia waiting for the kids with her kitty bucket full of candy.
He was good and only ate 2 pieces before he brushed his teeth and went to bed. His candy will last for weeks and that is with Paris and I snitching it. He doesn't have a big sweet tooth.

October 30th - Halloween Party
Here is a sampling of the creative food my mom made, the kids LOVED it, especially watching the witches brew~
Carrot fingers
Bug mini dogs
Werewolf claws
Cameron eating a spider web egg.
Sofia and her cousin Siena playing with the singing Frankenstein.
Thank you to my Mom and Dad for all of your work, the party was lots of fun, and Cameron still has his bag of goodies on the end of his bed to look at and play with
- I know you'll cringe with me putting this photo on our blog mom, but I had to, it was a great witch costume :)
