Sofia and her Peas

All Sofia needs to do is eat her peas.
She normally gobbles them right up, but this evening she was being a little stinker and seeing what she could get away with - (well, Cameron did this same thing at her age so we were onto her). We told her she couldn't get down until she finished eating her peas, and she wanted to get down because Cameron was outside playing and she wanted to join him. Well she cried and whined and cried and whined some more. Then after about 30 minutes she just sat there like nothing had ever happened and ate them all up.

Here she is saying "Noooooooo"

Then the crying
and
the whining
and a little pouting mixed in

And more crying, with some yelling -
notice how she has pushed her bowl and cup as far away as possible
like maybe they will just go away...

Now just eating and looking at us like nothing ever happened

Gobbling it all up

More big bites

Even a smirk and an "Mmmmmm"

Last big bite

All done!

Tooth #2 Lost - May 2

Cameron lost his 2nd tooth today. He came into the bathroom while I was fixing my hair and said, " Mom my tooth is about coming out" it sure was, just hanging by a tiny thread. He did one little wiggle and out it popped! It bled just a little bit, so he held a little toilet paper on it for a minute.
Sticking his tongue through the hole

The note with the tooth fairy pillow attached to his bed.

Yes, he lost this tooth somewhere in his bedroom. I was trying to be so careful after his first tooth vanished into thin air.... this time I told him to keep it in a cup on his dresser, but mysteriously he was peeking at it and he said it just fell out. I scoured the floor and vacuumned it with the swiffer sweeper to try and find it, but nothing. So he had to write another note to the tooth fairy. He is getting pretty good with his spelling, he wrote it by himself.

Let's Go Fly a Kite - May 1

Cameron loves it once it gets a little warmer and windy - because it is kite flying weather!!
For days he had been asking, is it windy enough? Can I fly my kite? Then finally we had a day when it was! So with kite in hand and Daddy by his side, before he headed to work (thus the scrubs) they flew the kite!

Planting a Garden - April 19

We planted our garden and just hope we have as much success as we did last year. We learned a few things like: not to plant lettuce since we have wild rabbits that ate it all last year, and not to plant quite as much, since things get so big. It always helps to use good plants - we love Yard'N Garden Land :)

The beds are ready to be planted

We planted Zuchinni, Yellow Squash, Broccoli, Celery, Green Beans, Peas, Cucumbers, and Tomatoes.

Cameron and Sofia watering the plants, he is telling her how you have to hold it careful and get some on all of the plants - she just listens so intently to him.

Thinking of those yummy vegetables to come....

Cameron and Callaway - April 9

Each night after we say prayers and read stories, Callaway hops onto Cameron's bed and curls up by him, they both fall sound asleep, although sometimes Callaway decides he wants to get a little crazy and play, and we have to remove him and close Cameron's door so he won't keep sneaking in to cause mischief and wake him up.

Popcorn Popping - April 6

I just love this time of the year when all of the blossoms are out, my favorite are the pink blossoms - I wish our 3 flowering plum trees could always stay that vibrant pink color.

For family home evening we decided to go for walk to see all of the blossoms on the trees. We put Cameron and Sofia's jammies on and popped popcorn, then they sat munching popcorn while relaxing in the wagon as we walked around the neighborhood and down 149th street looking at and clipping off pink and white blossoms to hold and smell.
